discouraged

Don't let the devil make you feel like you are a small insignificant part of the body of Christ. All work together for the glory of God. Don't be discouraged.

Deuteronomy 31:8

If you leave, the room will get that much dimmer...

Why Are We Planning.

The Lord will work out his plans for my life for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don't abandon me, for you made me.
Psalm 138:8 NLT Students Life Application Study Bible

David counted on God's plan for his life. Each of us makes plans for our future. We work hard to see those dreams come true. But to truly make the most of life, we must include God's plans in our plans, He alone knows what is best for us. How willing are you to submit your plans and dreams to God?

I made His plans my plans, and He truly blessed me today.

We must never forget those who served and those who are serving our great country to give us the freedom we have today. Thank You for Your Commitment.

When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.

A Holy Reminder

Leviticus 10:2

So fire blazed forth from the Lord's presence and burned them up, and they died there before the Lord.

Sadly, after the good report of Leviticus 8:36, we see how careless Aaron's sons had become about following the laws for sacrifices. In response, God destroyed them with a blast of fire. Performing the sacrifices was an act of obedience. Doing them correctly showed respect for God and reminded the Israelites of God's holiness.
It's easy to grow careless about obeying God. At times we want to do what we want instead of what He wants. Yet the punishment of Aaron's sons is a chilling reminder of how seriously God takes obedience.

How serious are you about obeying God.

Team Work.

Exodus 36:8-9
Making cloth (spinning and weaving) took a great deal of time in Moses' day.

To own more than two or three changes of clothing was a sign of wealth! So you could imagine the huge effort involved in making enough cloth for the Tabernacle.

It demonstrated a tremendous community effort.

This same kind of teamwork is needed in churches and neighborhoods, today.
Without it, many essential services just wouldn't get done.

Are you a team player?

What part can you play in your church or community "team"?

Forget about it!

Don't worry about looking for a good person.

Worry about being a good person.

Our prayer must not be self-centered.

Our prayer must not be self-centered.
It must arise not only because we feel our own need as a burden we must lay upon God, but also because we are so bound up in love for our fellow men that we feel their need as acutely as our own. To make intercession for men is the most powerful and practical way in which we can express our love for them.
John Calvin

Moses had asked to see God glorious presence Exodus 33:18. and this was God's response.

He wanted to give Moses a brief overview of his character.

Notice that God did not give Moses a vision of his power and majesty, but rather of his love, God's glory is revealed in His mercy, grace, compassion, faithfulness, forgiveness, and justice.

We give glory to God when we show his characteristics.

Do your actions resemble His?

Sign the Petition of Protest!

It is unconstitutional for a public college professor to make passing a required course contingent upon a student’s willingness to express agreement with philosophical viewpoints that conflict with his or her religious beliefs. Please read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by adding your name to our National Petition of Protest.

UPDATE: Protecting Gina's First Amendment Rights
We continue to work on behalf of Gina, the college student in Suffolk County, New York who is experiencing problems in her college philosophy class due to her faith.
Although Gina maintains a 3.9 overall GPA and did very well on the first few philosophy class assignments, her grades in the philosophy course dropped significantly after the question of God’s existence and attributes became the focus of class discussion. Gina read the assigned materials and participated in class discussions, presenting traditional philosophical arguments on whether God exists and whether He possesses certain characteristics such as being all-knowing or all-good. However, Gina was unwilling to state that she would reconsider her personal religious beliefs on God’s nature and existence, and her grades suffered as a result. The professor has stated that it is his job to get students to reject a belief in a sacred or unquestionable “truth” in favor of the “rational” view that science, logic, and philosophy are the only reliable sources of “truth.” While public college professors may encourage students to discuss and debate various philosophies and worldviews, they may not grade students upon their willingness to make personal, value-based statements or to abandon their religious faith.
It's our responsibility to stand up, we can't just watch on the side lines anymore please visit http://www.aclj,org/ and sign up, read the petitions and do your part to support those who are fighting our battles on the front lines. Don't forget it's also our responsibility to vote.

Quotes

It is possible to speak of love toward men in such a way that God drops out of the picture. It is possible to begin to justify your life solely on the basis of how much "good" you do for men. And gradually the difference between a Christian and a humanistic ethic disappears. Not because the humanist has become God-centered but because the Christian has become man-centered.

Christ Like Commission

32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them.

33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that.

34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full.

35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Jesus is always concerned with the inward motivation more than a mere outward movement. You can have sacrifice without mercy, but you cannot have mercy without sacrifice

Am I causing other to sin?

It’s bad enough for me to make choices that hurt my own relationship with God. How much more serious is it to be the cause of someone else deciding to sin? Not only must I choose the pathway of holiness for God’s sake and for my own sake; I must also do it for the sake of others.

Nancy Leigh DeMoss

Quotes

You can always give without loving, but you can never love without giving.

Jack MacArthur

If I can enjoy a joke at the expense of another; if I can in any way slight another in conversation, or even in thought, then I know nothing of Calvary's love.

Amy Carmichael

There is nothing to be valued more highly than to have people praying for us; God links up His power in answer to their prayers.

Oswald Chambers

The Greatest Commandment is Love.

The true sign of a spirit filled christian is that he or she can love everyone.

The Greatest Commandment

Matt 22:
36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Jesus showed us the example to be a light in the dark world. What is the value in having the lights shine amongst other lights. We need to go out into the world and be an example and not to participate, the world needs to see a difference.

Love for Enemies

Matt 5: 43
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Will You Examine Yourself?

Do you have even the slightest reliance on anything or anyone other that God?
Is there a remnant of reliance left on any natural quality within you, or on any particular set of circumstances? Are you relying on yourself in any manner whatsoever regarding this new proposal or plan which God has placed before you? Will you examine yourself by asking these probing questions? It really is true to say, " I cannot live a holy life," but you can decide to let Jesus Christ make you holy. "You cannot serve the Lord..." --- but you can place yourself in the proper position where God's almighty power will flow through you. Is your relationship with God sufficient for you to except Him to exhibit His wonderful life in you?
"The people said to Joshua, ' No, but we will serve the Lord!" This is not an impulsive action, but a deliberate commitment. we tend to say, "But God could never have called me to this. I'm too unworthy. It can't mean me." It does mean you, and the more weak and feeble you are, the better. The person who is still relying and trusting in anything within himself is the last person to ever come close to saying, "I will serve the Lord."
We say, "Oh, if only I really could believe!" The question is, "Will I believe?" No wonder Jesus Christ placed such emphasis on the sin of unbelief" (Matt13:58) If we really believed that God meant what He said, just imagine what we would be like! Do I really dare to let God be to me all that He says He will be?

COMING SOON!!!

Jesus, Dinosaurs and More

"Jesus, Dinosaurs and More" is a webpage of Scientific evidence supporting the Biblical account of Creation.

Defining some terms

To understand the Creation vs. Evolution controversy it is important to understand the terms used.
This page will be short definitions of words you may not be familiar with.

Christian- A Christian is someone who believes in Jesus, and relies on him for their salvation.

Creation- Creation is the Biblical doctrine that God created the world as described in Genesis chapters 1 and 2. Someone who believes or teaches this is a Creationist.

Creationists believe that animals produce offspring with a small amount of variation from their parents. But they do not believe that these small amounts of variation can change one animal into another like Evolutionists claim.

Evolution- Evolution tries to explain the origin of life by natural means (in other words without God as creator).
Some argue that evolution does not try to answer the ultimate origin of life, and that it merely traces the changes throughout earth’s history.
The American Heritage College Dictionary ( third edition) defines evolution as: - (biological) a. the theory that groups of organisms change morphologically and physiologically with time, mainly as a result of natural selection. b. the historical development of a related group of organisms; phylogeny.
(Keep in mind that Natural selection is not strictly an evolutionary term. Natural selection applies to the creation account as well. Survival of the fittest does not explain the arrival of the fittest. Where did life come from? - I believe the bible has the answer)
Someone who believes in evolution is sometimes referred to as an Evolutionist.
Atheist- an Atheist is someone who does not believe there is a God.

Just for the record: Not all Christians are Creationists. and Not all Evolutionists are Atheists.

However, I am a Christian, and I also believe in Creation. After reading my web page I hope you will too.

the return

Christian Coalition of America

Visit the Christian Coalition of America's website. They are the home of the largest and most active conservative grassroots political organization in America. The Christian Coalition of America offers people of faith the vehicle to be actively involved in shaping their government - from the County Courthouse to the halls of Congress.
Our hallmark work lies in voter education. Prior to the November election the Christian Coalition of America distributed a record 70 million voter guides throughout all 50 states. These non-partisan guides gave voters a clear understanding of where various candidates stood on the issues important to them. With this knowledge, millions of voters went to polls ready to make their voices heard.
Our efforts, however, do not stop with voter guides. We actively lobby Congress and the White House on numerous issues, hold grassroots training schools around the country, host events all around the country and in Washington that draw thousands of pro-family supporters from around the nation and organize community activists regarding issues facing their local government.

Just for Fun

From: "Richard K, Jr."

A funeral service is being held in a church for a woman who had just passed away.
At the end of the Service, the pall-bearers are carrying the casket out when they accidentally bump into a wall, jarring the casket. They hear a faint moan.
They open the casket and find that the woman is actually still alive. She lives for ten more years and then dies.
A ceremony is again held at the same church and at the end of the ceremony, the pall bearers are again carrying out the casket. As they are walking, the husband cries out, "AND WATCH OUT FOR THAT WALL!"
